2 Boys & 2 Dogs Night

The day had a slow start, while we worked - I was being really cute and resting my head on Christa and putting a paw on her leg. Also, I kept her feet warm because I love to lie under her desk. Half way through the day we went to run an errand for Brendan and went to Westford and then to the bank in Fairfax. We took the long way home so I could smell the farm, look at the cows and see the trees slowly changing color. Christa saw a deer running away, but somehow I missed it…I think I was looking the wrong way :)

Then I waited patiently in front of the door for my favorite person to come home - and when he got back, I was soooo happy! Like 30 minutes later, another surprise came to the door! LIBBY in Scott's new truck! We played for a while outside and then guess what? The boys and us girls, Libby and I, got in and went over to Steve Orton's for a fun boys night. It was a blur and I got home late, I was pretty tired, but had a blast!

It's Almost Friday!

Today it rained a lot in the morning. After it cleared up it was cloudy, but nicer, so we got to play outside a little. They gave me this softball which is perfect to chew on and fetch. Which I love playing!

We also went for a long walk down this other dirt road…Sand Hill Road she called it. I got to smell so many things! I even sniffed out a chicken wing, which Christa wasn't so excited about, and took away from me before I could even try it. Shucks! My mom probably wouldn't let me have it either. She only eat vegetables, which I am not a huge fan of. But I'll pretty much eat anything. Besides treats and dog food, I love mulch, pieces of wood, hay, lawn-mowed grass. I like to think of them as healthy treats that my mom would be proud of me for. That, and they're pretty abundant in nature.

After Brendan came home, I got to see Libby again - which means it's been like 3 times this week we got to play, which is such a treat at the end of a long workday with Christa.

Weekday Woes

The work week is definitely not as fun. I think Christa feels bad for me, so we went for a run on Monday, another 4 miles. I'm pretty good at running and keep up the whole time.

Today, Christa made soup, because it's getting cold out, and I waited for Brendan to come home. He's my favorite for sure. Even though he's really strict, he's so much fun and I love him. I get SO excited when he comes home. That night we all watched a little TV together and hung out - the four of us. Cat, dog and the two humans.

Wood, Trip to North Hero & Libby-Time!

We had a lot going ton today, we put some miles on. Mid-day we drove over to Brendan's land and he filled up the dump trailer full of wood with excavator. They must be lazy, my parents actually through the wood around…this buy Brendan and his toys…

We took all that wood up to my house in North Hero - it was nice to be home again. I miss my mom and dad. I don't think T-2 missed me though. We said "hi" to her and spent sometime with her inside (she liked seeing Brendan and Christa). We relaxed for a minute and watched the Patriots struggling to play football…we left before the game was over. On the way out they picked some tomatoes and cucumbers for a snack on the way home. They also picked and put the bigger butternut squash in the garage for safe keeping.

When we got home, guess who met us there!?! LIBBY! We played and played. So much fun.

Farms, Manure and a Bath

Today was amazing! I don't think I've ever gotten so dirty in my life!! There aren't very many words needed here, Christa took lots of pictures. We went to Brendan's farm project in St.Albans and I got to play for like an hour in the half…chasing birds, smelling stinky manure, playing in it and of course, we got into Brendan's project. And don't worry mom, I got a real good scrub down afterwards. I was clean and smelled wonderfully after.

Friday Fun-Day

I got to play with Libby two times today - morning and evening! Scott came over in the morning and brought my friend over to play. Our favorite thing to do is - is do everything the same, at the same time. We always have so much fun when we hangout. Mid-day we went for a drive through the countryside to see the last of the green leaves, I can even tell that winter is coming…it's getting chillier everyday.

That evening Christa brought me over to Libby's house to play for a little bit before dinner. She had a great time reading her book and watching us play. After we got home, a first happened, the cat was nice to me! While we just sniffed each other and sat near each other, Christa and Brendan seemed really excited. They're so weird sometimes with that cat. It was a good day and I slept well that night.

Good Exercise and Weird Smells

The first half of the day was a little boring because of the "work" that Christa and Brendan have to do. It was a nice day outside so I spent some time taking in these last few summer weeks. Christa said we'd go for another run after she mowed the field that had become their lawn - I was ready to go! We went further this time and did a 4.5 mile run, it was a little later in the early evening this time, so thankfully it was less hot and more shadows. It was heavenly. I even took a dip in the brook and walked around in it to cool off and get a quick drink. I was pretty thirsty when I got back!

Brendan came home a little after we got back, around 7:30, and we drove over to surprise my best friend Libby! We played and played in the dark and even though I was tired from the previous exercise session, I had a blast! Brendan got a phone call and had to be dropped off at his friend's house on the way home, he said he was going to help because their friends had hunted a bear and needed help bringing it out of the woods. I think that's pretty gross, and mean. I was so freaked out because of the way he smelled when he got home an hour later, that I was too nervous to get too close to him. He kept calling me over. That's when I hid by Christa's side as she was making dinner and me feel much better. I guess she's not so bad, but my mom is still better.

Best Friend Visits & Running

I had a good day today, lots of play AND exercise. My best friend, Libby, came over and we played for a half hour just chasing and wrestling each other all over Brendan and Christa's lawn. It was a ton of fun and I was so tired afterwards! Scott had to go to work and left with Libby, they said we'd get together again soon.

Since it rained so hard last night, the weather today was gorgeous! Christa dusted off her running shoes and took me out for a spin down this beautiful dirt road with farms and cornfields. We probably ran 2 miles and walked another 1 mile. It was a great workout and I was happy afterwards. Brendan came home a little early today so I think we're going to go for a ride and maybe even see Libby again! More tomorrow.

All Work and Barely Any Play

Today had it's ups and downs. Brendan and Christa were seemingly excited when the resident feline they call "Clovie" and I touched noses and said "hi" to each other. For the first time ever she didn't run away…well not right away at least. The humans were excited and proud of my calm demeanor with the  cat. Christa and Brendan had to go back to work after I ran errands in Burlington with them for a few hours.

I didn't get to see my best friend, but they promised me I'd see her tomorrow, so that's something to look forward to. To make me feel better I got a heart shaped treat.

I was invited up to Christa's work room to help out, it was mostly boring and I feel asleep helping her. I don't know how she just stares at that screen all day. When Brendan got home I was so excited to see him - we played outside together until I got tired and a storm started rolling in. He's always so much fun to play with.

Firewood, Woods & Playing

I had a pretty good day today - even slept in until 9am because I was still tired from yesterday. We took a ride and got some firewood for Christa and Brendan, then we took a nice long walk in the woods. After we got back and stacked the wood, my best friend came over and visited me again! We played for a few hours and drank out of the same bowl, licked each other's faces, slept next to each other, dug a whole together (taking turns) - we are pretty much inseparable and she's a lot of fun because we have the same amount of energy!

After we went again to the woods and brought Brendan's trail camera with us…something about deer and hunting. Also, he's always looking at the ground for acorns and apples…neither taste good - so I'm not sure what he's excited about.

Now back at the house I'm relaxing and the door is wide open, I'm so good I don't even try to go out. Everyone is very pleased with my behavior. Apparently I've become a very-well behaved puppy.

Big Day

Woke up to Brendan and Christa dressing up in athletic gear. Back in the car for a scenic ride to Waterville. As soon as I got out of the car i saw the sign…..I thought mom and dad were going hiking not me. Well maybe I'll see them on the trail. No mom and dad but no leash again and I ran in to four dogs and a deer. I am so well behaved that every time they call me I turn around and run back to their side.

The hike wasn't enough so we went to visit my best friend Libby. Around and around and around…..I am tired!!

Dropped at the evil aunt and uncles….

First day of vacation and I already hate it. Brendan is gone with mom and dad to the airport and Christa is on the phone and staring at her computer. Clover hates me…..Oh well hope they aren't gone long. Tonight we took a ride up to Cobbler Hill to work on the roof. I figured that building was done by now I remember being there this winter and nothing has changed. My favorite thing is that Brendan never brings a leash with him. Guess I will run around and roll in the freshly spread cow shit. Tim brought his dog but he's a pain in the ass and won't play with me. Ill just do laps around the field while they are working.
